• BABY CLOTHING AND DIAPERS

Currently, Helping Hand-Me-Downs is focusing on drives as our primary method for gathering donations.   Please make sure that your donations are clean, stain-free and folded to make it easy for our volunteers to process your donation quickly.

Items accepted by Helping Hand-Me-Downs include:

- Disposable diapers

- Baby clothes in sizes up to 12 months only

- Blankets, hats, bibs and board books

Due to space constraints, we are unable to distribute large items (car seats, cribs, etc.) to new mothers and these items are therefore not accepted.   We also can not accept baby clothes in larger sizes, baby bottles, and maternity clothes.  

Please consider a monetary donation to help us process your donation.

• MONEY

Helping Hand-Me-Downs is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and donations are tax deductible. Please contact us for help with planned giving, estate planning, or stock donations.  

Check with your HR department to see if your employer offers community grants or has a workplace matching program. We can help you apply on our behalf.

• TIME

Helping Hand-Me-Downs relies on the help of volunteers to operate.   If you are interested in any of the opportunities below, please send an email telling us about yourself and how you would like to contribute.

WRITE GRANTS
Do you have a way with words? This can be done from the comfort of your couch and will truly help Helping Hand-Me-Downs continue to thrive. Take our existing wording from previous grants and creatively flow it into other grant applications. This isn't a direct cut/paste - it requires copywriting skills.

PICKUP OR DELIVER BABY CLOTHES
We are in need of people to help us retrieve donations from collection drive locations throughout the St Louis area.   We also will need help delivering prepared boxes to agencies. Drivers need to have a safe driving record and must supply a copy of proof of insurance and a valid driver's license.
